Hi, I was disappointed that the red and white stripe fabric was so large in scale for the design. In the original picture the fabric was more to scale with the design. I substituted my own fabric since it was more in line with the original design shown on the pattern. Also, I would make a suggestion: In the cutting instructions I would re write the directions for cutting the stripe. so it is consistent with the rest of the cutting directions. 1- 4 1/2 X WOF strip Sub-cut 4 - 4 1/2" X 6 1/2 " rectangles. Your current directions make it sound like you are to cut 61/2" wide X by 4 1/2" long. if you do that your stripes will come out wrong. Generally in patterns they state the width cut first and then the length. You do this in the rest of your directions. I think it would be a good idea to make the change for a clearer understanding. I enjoy watching your videos and think you are a delightful group of ladies. As a person who has taught sewing in public schools for many years, I try to look at things from a beginner standpoint. I hope you will make the changes since as an experienced sewer and well as quilter I was able to figure it out, but a beginner would not and they would not have enough of the fabric provided to recut the pieces so the stripes were going the right direction.
